Terms of Use & Repair Disclaimer

Last updated October 22, 2026

High-voltage warning: EVs carry 400–800 V in the battery pack, orange cables, contactors, inverters and drive units. That voltage can kill. Never open, probe or disconnect high-voltage parts yourself. Our DIY steps cover only low-voltage (12 V / 16 V) and mechanical work.

1. Who these terms apply to

By using EV Fix Guide (evfixguide.com, including its German and Spanish versions and regional guides) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. The operator is named in the imprint.

2. Information only, not professional advice

Everything on this site (guides, repair steps, cost ranges, videos we link to, recall notes and lemon law notes) is general information compiled from owner reports, shop quotes, public filings and other sources. It is not professional, mechanical, engineering, legal or financial advice, and it is no substitute for an inspection by a qualified technician or the manufacturer's service documentation for your exact model year. Notes on warranty, recall and consumer protection law are simplified and may not apply to your situation; ask a lawyer or consumer advice service before you rely on them.

3. You repair at your own risk

4. Costs and accuracy

Cost ranges are estimates, not quotes, and change with region, model year, labour rates and parts availability (see how we estimate costs). Recall, investigation and incentive status changes often. We review content regularly but cannot guarantee that it is complete, correct or current. Always get a written quote and check official sources such as the manufacturer and NHTSA.

5. Independent shops, sponsors and external links

Shops listed or matched through EV Fix Guide are independent businesses. We do not inspect, employ or guarantee them, and any repair contract is between you and the shop. Sponsored placements are labelled. Links to other websites and videos are provided for convenience; we have no control over their content and are not responsible for it. Under German law (§ 7(2) DDG) we are not obliged to monitor third-party content; we remove links promptly once we become aware of unlawful content.

6. Trademarks and affiliation

EV Fix Guide is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. or any other vehicle maker. Tesla, Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, Cybertruck and other names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe the vehicles.

7. Liability

Content on this site is provided free of charge and "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage, injury or loss arising from the use of the information on this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

8. Use of our content

Texts, tables and graphics on this site are protected by copyright. You may read, print and share links to them for personal use. You may quote short excerpts with a link to the source. Copying whole pages, republishing or selling our content requires our written permission.

9. Forms and newsletter

When you submit a form you confirm the details are yours and correct. How we handle that data is explained in our privacy policy. Please do not submit anyone else's personal data.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. Questions: contact@evfixguide.com.
