Who we are

EV Fix Guide (evfixguide.com) is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: contact@evfixguide.com.

What we collect

When you join the newsletter, ask for repair help, report a repair price or apply as a partner shop, we collect the details you enter: email address and, optionally, your EV model and model year, how long you have owned it and driven electric, your country, postcode and city, the issue you describe, and (for shops) business contact details. We do not collect payment information.

Why we use it and legal basis

To send the newsletter you asked for — based on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time
To answer your repair request by email with advice and independent shop options for your area — to take steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b))
To tailor the newsletter to your car, experience and region using the optional details you give us — based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); we may also count subscribers per model and region in anonymous totals
We never sell, rent or pass your personal details to repair shops, advertisers or anyone else
To reply to partnership enquiries — our legitimate interest in answering business requests (Art. 6(1)(f))
To keep the site secure and working — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f))

Service providers & international transfers

We use Vercel (hosting and, with your consent, cookieless analytics), an email newsletter provider and form-processing tools to store and send messages on our behalf. They process data only on our instructions. Some providers are based in the United States; transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

How long we keep it

Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Repair and shop requests are deleted after 24 months unless you ask us to delete them earlier.

Cookies & browser storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. When you first visit, we ask for your consent before loading anything optional.

These items are stored in your browser's local storage, not as cookies, and are not sent to us unless you submit a form. We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out.

Your rights

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing contact@evfixguide.com. If you are in the EU/UK you have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR and may complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; we do not sell or share personal information.
